RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING | ||||
Bridget T. Lott | ||||
For Her | ||||
Service to San Mateo County | ||||
And Promotion To | ||||
Assistant Chief, California Highway Patrol | ||||

WHEREAS, since October 2004, Bridget T. Lott has commanded the Redwood City office of the California Highway Patrol, overseeing more than 100 full-time employees and 30 senior volunteers; and | ||||
WHEREAS, as the CHP captain responsible for San Mateo County and portions of Santa Clara County, Bridget managed a variety of traffic safety programs, including a successful and popular older driver class that began in San Mateo County and has been taken statewide by the CHP; and | ||||
WHEREAS, prior to her Redwood City assignment, Bridget worked at CHP headquarters on motorcycle safety, older drivers, traffic control devices, transportation planning and grants management; and | ||||
WHEREAS, throughout her ongoing 23-year career with the CHP, Bridget’s professionalism and leadership skills have earned her respect and advancement from patrol to sergeant to lieutenant to captain to being an assistant chief with the Golden Gate Division. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County commends Bridget T. Lott for her dedicated service to the people and businesses of San Mateo County, and congratulates her upon her promotion to the rank of assistant chief with the California Highway Patrol. The Board expresses its gratitude and extends sincere wishes to Bridget for many more years of success and excellence. | ||||
