TO:

Honorable Board of Supervisors

FROM:

James C. Porter, Director of Public Works

SUBJECT:

Administrative Change to Resolution approved on January 27, 2009 Establishing No Parking Zones in El Granada and North Fair Oaks

RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt resolution establishing No Parking Zones in El Granada and North Fair Oaks.

VISION ALIGNMENT:

Commitment: Responsive, effective, collaborative government.

Goal 21: County employees understand, support and integrate the County vision and goals into their delivery of services.

The adoption of the proposed resolution will provide for safe and orderly movement of traffic in the public right-of-way, and will better address the needs of residents, drivers, and pedestrians in the area.

BACKGROUND:

On January 27, 2009, the Board adopted Resolution No. 069902 regarding no parking zones in El Granada and North Fair Oaks. Staff subsequently discovered an error in the adopted resolution.

The Resolution incorrectly stated:

Ø

El Granada Boulevard (County Road No. 929), El Granada

On the westerly side of El Granada Boulevard commencing at the southerly property line of 315 EL GRANADA BOULEVARD and extending southerly to the southerly property line of 435 EL GRANADA BOULEVARD.

The description should be corrected as follows:

Ø

El Granada Boulevard (County Road No. 929), El Granada

On the easterly side of El Granada Boulevard commencing across from the southerly property line of 315 EL GRANADA BOULEVARD and extending northerly to a point across from the southerly property line of 435 EL GRANADA BOULEVARD.

DISCUSSION:

The previous Board report and notice to the public showed the correct diagram (see Fig D below). The clerical error occurred only in the description within the body of the resolution.

A revised version of Resolution is being submitted for the record.
