BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF:

(1) A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND HARBOR BELMONT ASSOCIATES OF TWO OFFICE BUILDINGS AT 400 HARBOR BLVD., UNINCORPORATED BELMONT, AT AN INITIAL MONTHLY RENT OF $124,351.50 FOR A TERM OF TEN YEARS WITH TWO OPTIONS TO EXTEND THE TERM FOR AN ADDITIONAL FIVE YEARS EACH, AND
(2) A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND DAVIS ASSOCIATES OF AN OFFICE BUILDING AT 1 DAVIS DR., BELMONT, AT AN INITIAL MONTHLY RENT OF $103,805.00 FOR A TERM OF TEN YEARS WITH TWO OPTIONS TO EXTEND THE TERM FOR AN ADDITIONAL FIVE YEARS EACH

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an agreement for a ten-year lease of real property, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the County of San Mateo shall lease from Harbor Belmont Associates at an initial monthly rent of $124,351.50 approximately 59,215 square feet in two office buildings at 400 Harbor Blvd., Unincorporated Belmont, in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in said agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an agreement for a ten-year lease of real property, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the County of San Mateo shall lease from Davis Associates at an initial monthly rent of $103,805.00 approximately 39,950 square feet in an office building at 1 Davis Dr., Belmont, in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in said agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the forms of such agreements and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said lease agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the signatures thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Manager or his designee shall be authorized to execute any and all written elections, options, terminations, notices and documents in connection with both Lease Agreements, including the options to extend the terms as set forth therein and the exercise of the County's right to modify from time to time during the term the area of the 1 Davis Dr. premises in active use by the County and to make a corresponding adjustment in the rent.
