RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONTROLLER TO CONTINUE PAYMENTS ON THE HEALTH SYSTEM COMMUNITY HEALTH STD/HIV PROGRAM SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THE AIDS COMMUNITY RESEARCH CONSORTIUM, FOR HIV FOOD SERVICES FROM MARCH 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2009

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the period of services for HIV food services of the Agreement with the AIDS Community Research Consortium expires on February 28, 2009 and a renewal Agreement has not been completed; and

WHEREAS, the Controller does not have the authority to make payments to this contractor between the expiration date and time of completion of the Agreement; and

WHEREAS, this Board recognizes the importance of providing uninterrupted food services to HIV patients; and

WHEREAS, this Board wishes to continue payments to the contractor through June 30, 2009, pending execution of a new Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board authorizes the Controller to continue payments through June 30, 2009, on said Agreement for and on behalf of the County, subject to the contractors’ continued compliance with all terms and conditions of the most recent Agreement with the County with the exception of the maximum payment term provision. Said payments are to be at the existing rates in the most recent Agreement with the County.
