RESOLUTION: 1. AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH ZK PAINTING CO. IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,000.00 FOR THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE DEFERRED MAINTENANCE PAINTING, REDWOOD CITY 2. AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO EXECUTE CONTRACT REVISION ORDERS RELATED TO THE PARKING STRUCTURE DEFERRED MAINTENANCE PAINTING NOT EXCEEDING $10,500 IN AGGREGATE, WHICH IS 15% OF THE CONTRACT AMOUNT.
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did, on January 6, 2009, adopt Resolution No. 069888, which Resolution adopted and approved the plans and specifications, determined prevailing wage scales and called for sealed bids for the County Government Center Parking Structure Deferred Maintenance Painting, and
WHEREAS, the clerk of this Board of Supervisors did, in public on January 30, 2009, open and examine all sealed proposals: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has caused an analysis of said sealed proposals to be made by the Director of Public Works of the County of San Mateo, and has, in open session, fully reviewed and considered said proposals and the analysis thereof; and
WHEREAS, ZK Painting Co., submitted the lowest responsible bid, in the amount of Seventy Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($70,000.00) based on the estimate of the amount of the work to be done.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

The County of San Mateo shall enter into a written contract with ZK Painting Co. for the doing of said work as required by the plans and specifications adopted and approved by this Board of Supervisors, as hereinbefore mentioned.
The President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
All payments to the Contractor shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Aggregate payment to Contractor shall not exceed the sum of Seventy Thousand and No/100 dollars ($70,000.00) as may be amended by authorized revision orders without this Board’s approval.
The Director of Public Works shall be and is hereby authorized to execute contract revision orders related to the County Government Center Parking Structure Deferred Maintenance Painting not exceeding $10,500 in aggregate, which is 15% of the contract amount.
