RESOLUTION APPROVING FY 2007-08 STARS AWARD RECIPIENTS AND HONORABLE MENTIONS
|

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors approved a Performance Incentives Program (“San Mateo County STARS”) on December 5th 2006 to recognize and reward County programs that have demonstrated outstanding customer service and program performance; and
|
WHEREAS, in 2008 the Green and Employee Suggestion award categories were added to the STARS Awards Program; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, nineteen programs submitted entries for the FY 2007-08 San Mateo County STARS Award; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, a STARS Review Committee reviewed each entry and recommended four STARS Award recipients and four Honorable Mentions for approval to the Board of Supervisors; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, the recommended STARS Award recipients and amounts are: Sheriff’s Office Re-Entry Workgroup ($17,500), Health System’s Healthier Outcomes through Multidisciplinary Engagement ($17,500), Human Resources Department’s Recruitment and Selection Program ($5,000) and Sheriff’s Office Green Jails ($5,000);

WHEREAS, the recommended STARS Honorable Mention recipients are: Human Resources Department’s Employee Health and Fitness Program ($5,000), Sheriff’s Office Child Safety Seat Education Program ($2,500), Public Works’ Energy Efficiency Projects ($1,500), and Information Services Department’s Personal Computer Power Management ($1,500).

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors approve the FY 2007-08 STARS Award recipients and Honorable Mentions.
