BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $12,000 FROM THE SAN MATEO CREDIT UNION.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo Credit Union wishes to donate $12,000 to the County of San Mateo over a three year period (2009-2011) for use by the Sheriff’s Office Community Alliance to Revitalize Our Neighborhood (CARON) Program; and

WHEREAS, the CARON Program is a collaboration of schools, the faith community, youth groups and parents to develop, implement and coordinate programs that address the needs of youth; and

WHEREAS, said donation will be used to facilitate funding for CARON’s program Scholarships, House Visits, and Annual Educational Fair; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Sheriff to accept said donation for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE Board of Supervisors, on behalf of the County of San Mateo, hereby accepts the San Mateo Credit Union’s donation of $12,000 to the Sheriff’s Office over the next three year period (2009-2011), and offers its thanks to the Credit Union for the generous donation.
