RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING | ||||
J. David Triolo | ||||
Upon his Retirement after 29 years with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office | ||||

WHEREAS, in 1980, J. David Triolo joined the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, relinquishing a position as the director of safety and security for a corporate high-rise building; and | ||||
WHEREAS, during the ensuing two decades, Dave successfully completed every duty assignment as a Deputy, including Jail Training Officer, Patrol Training Officer, Superior Court Bailiff and Detective; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Dave also logged 15 years with the Office of Emergency Services as the senior coordinator for Search and Rescue and Hazardous Materials incidents; and | ||||
WHEREAS, as a Sergeant in 2002, Dave helped to create the Transit Police Bureau, a specialized Sheriff’s unit tasked with law enforcement and investigative responsibilities for SamTrans and Caltrain; in 2005, Dave earned the rank of Lieutenant and served as Commander of the Transit Police Bureau and the Canine Services Unit; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Dave holds multiple certificates from the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards & Training, and he is certified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He has received training through the Protective Intelligence Program at the National Threat Assessment Center, is a graduate of Chabot College’s Emergency and Disaster Management Program and of the School of Professional Studies at California State University, San Jose; Dave also is an FAA-certified pilot. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates J. David Triolo upon his retirement after 29 dedicated years of service with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. The Board expresses its gratitude to Dave and extends sincere wishes for the best of luck in all future endeavors. | ||||
