BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE AND USE OF AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) CAPITAL GRANT FUNDS 2009 IN THE AMOUNT OF $366,511 FOR THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the HUD Office of Capital Improvements (OCI), recently announced the award of $2.985 billion in Capital Fund formula grant funds, pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA);

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo has been notified that it is eligible to receive $366,511.00 in grant funds for the purpose of assisting the Housing Authority in carrying out capital and management activities at public housing developments, in accordance with the ARRA requirements;

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority must prepare and submit an annual statement for use of the ARRA grant funds and the annual statement must be approved by its Board of Commissioners;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration and acceptance the annual statement reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board has examined and approved the same as to form and content.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, authorize the acceptance and use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Capital Grant Funds 2009 in the amount of $366,511 for the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo.
