RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH TOYON ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE REIMBURSEMENT SERVICES FOR THE TERM MARCH 1, 2007 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, 2009 FOR SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER, WITH THE AMENDMENT INCREASING THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION OF THE AGREEMENT BY $100,000, FOR A NEW MAXIMUM TOTAL FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $300,000

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Toyon Associates, Inc. (Toyon) provides third-party reimbursement consulting services to San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS, additional services are required from Toyon during this current contract period which requires an increase in funding; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and approval Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, reference to which is hereby made, whereby Toyon shall provide third-party reimbursement consulting services for the period of March 1, 2007 through February 28, 2009, with the Amendment increasing the maximum fiscal obligation by $100,000, for a new maximum obligation of $300,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board considered the Amendment and has approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into it.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
