RECOMMENDATION:
|
Adopt a resolution approving and adopting plans and specifications including conformance with prevailing wage scale requirements and calling for sealed bids on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. for Elections Office Roofing, 40 Tower Road, San Mateo, California (Project No. PF047).

Adoption of the proposed resolution contributes to this commitment and goal by sustaining a major building system for the benefit of both the employees and the public that use this facility.

BACKGROUND:
|
An appropriation for partial roof replacement at this facility is included in the 2008-2009 Capital Projects Budget.
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
The proposed project will replace a central section of the facility roof that has been leaking during the past several years. The work will also include replacement of undersized downspouts and waterway details that will sustain the remaining roof system for at least the next ten years.
|
|
The resolution has been approved as to form by County Counsel.
|
|
FISCAL IMPACT:
|
The estimated construction cost is $150,000. An appropriation was established in the Capital Projects Budget that is financed by the General Fund.
