RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH CONSULTING FIRMS FOR ON-CALL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of County of San Mateo is authorized to engage the services of professional technical experts; and

WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by selecting and utilizing consultants for various professional services; and

WHEREAS, the firms of BKF Engineers, Brown and Caldwell, Camp Dresser & Mckee, Inc., Denise Duffy & Associates, Inc., Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., TRA Environmental Sciences, Inc., and YEI Engineers, Inc. are consultant firms qualified to perform engineering and environmental services on a variety of projects as may be assigned at a future time by Task Orders issued by the Director of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that agreements be entered into with the consultants to perform various professional services to supplement staff as the need arises; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

1.

That BKF Engineers, Brown and Caldwell, Camp Dresser & Mckee, Inc., Denise Duffy & Associates, Inc., Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., TRA Environmental Sciences, Inc., and YEI Engineers, Inc. be retained to provide professional services under the direction of the Director of Public Works when and if said services are needed as determined by the Director of Public Works.

That the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreements on behalf of County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
