RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISED WORK PLAN FOR UTILIZING THE 2007-08 APPROPRIATION OF PROPOSITION 1B TRANSPORTATION BOND FUNDS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, California voters passed Proposition 1B in November 2006, which authorized the distribution of bond monies to California public agencies for the purpose of maintaining and improving an agency’s road infrastructure; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the bond initiative requires that a local agency’s governing Board approve a work plan for which the use of bond monies is proposed, spend the funds and construct the improvements within three years of the allocation; and
|
|
WHEREAS, San Mateo County is eligible for bond funds in the amount of $7,165,625.45 from the 2007-08 Appropriation of Proposition 1B Transportation Bond funds; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board previously adopted Resolution 069294 which contained a revised list of projects to be funded with the bond; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board, on the recommendation of the Department of Public Works, desires to amend this list of projects and work plan; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the work plan currently being proposed by Public Works is to perform pavement repair work including pothole filling, crack filling, and minor pavement patching, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the said work plan, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, is hereby approved as the work plan intended for construction by the Department of Public Works utilizing the County’s allocation of 2007-08 Appropriation of Proposition 1B Transportation Bond funds.
