THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS | ||||
RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING | ||||
San Francisco International Airport’s Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team | ||||
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * | ||||
WHEREAS, the Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team is comprised of employees from the following departments: Asset Management, Civil Engineering, Construction, Maintenance and Planning; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the West of Bayshore land is inhabited by the San Francisco Garter Snake and the California Red-Legged Frog, both of which are on the list of endangered species; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team was able to complete phase I of a ten-year program that protects the two endangered species and improves the drainage for the property, which will increase the population of these endangered species; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team was able to successfully secure the approval of multiple agencies to complete the project, including the Federal Fish and Wildlife, State Fish and Game and the Army Corps of Engineers; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team was awarded the 2008 Team Recognition Service Award by the San Francisco Airport Commission. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on April 28, 2009, hereby recognizes the San Francisco International Airport’s Bayshore Habitat Enhancement Project Team for its accomplishment and expresses deep gratitude for a job well done. | ||||
