RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

SAN MATEO COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM

FIRST ANNUAL

“A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM”

EVENT

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, on the evening of May 9, 2009, the San Mateo County History Museum will be staging a fundraising event entitled “A Night at the Museum”; and

WHEREAS, the Museum Association serves over 50,000 people at its three sites in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, the Museum Association maintains a supportive relationship with the County, serving its citizens for 74 years; and

WHEREAS, “A Night at the Museum” will provide important operating revenues for the Museum Association; and

WHEREAS, over 35 historical characters represented in the Museum’s galleries will “come alive” during the night to interact with the event’s attendees; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on May 5, 2009, hereby commends the San Mateo County History Museum’s “A Night at the Museum” event and joins the Museum Association in encouraging County residents to attend this entertaining and informative event.
