RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO 5-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN (FY 2008/09 – 2012/13) FOR THE USE OF FEDERAL STIMULUS FUNDS UTILIZED IN DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING FOR THE HOUSING PREVENTION AND RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM (HPRP) FUNDS, AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) AND REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD).

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on May 6, 2008 pursuant to Resolution #069384, the Board of Supervisors accepted the Housing Department’s Five-Year Consolidated Plan covering FY 2008-09 through 2012-13, which is both an application to the Department of Housing and Urban development (HUD) and a local planning document for funding received including, but not limited to, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG): HOME Investment Partnerships ACT (HOME); and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG); and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board for its consideration and acceptance the Amendment to the Five-Year Consolidated Plan covering FY 2008-09 through 2012-13; and

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this Board of Supervisors approves and accepts the Amendment to the Consolidated Plan; and authorizes the Director of the Department of Housing to submit the Consolidated Plan and the related certifications and all understandings and assurances contained therein to the United State Department of Housing and Urban Development, and to take all necessary actions in connection with the submission of the Consolidated Plan, including providing additional information as the United States government may require.
