RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the appointment of Karen Philip, as the Local Education Entitles Representative to the Workforce Investment Board, to a term expiring June 30, 2011.

BACKGROUND:
|
The Workforce Investment Board approved the application of Karen Philip at the April 16, 2009 meeting.
|
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
Karen Philip is the Deputy Superintendent of the San Mateo County Office of Education. Karen is currently administering the Career Technical Education Program through the Regional Occupational Program. She previously served as Superintendent of the Millbrae School District and was a member of the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce.
