RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE SERVICE LEAGUE OF SAN MATEO COUNTY FOR THE PROVISION OF ALCOHOL AND DRUG SERVICES, FOR THE TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2008 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2009, DECREASING THE BAY AREA SERVICES NETWORK ALLOCATION $25,712, FOR A REVISED MAXIMUM OBLIGATION OF $630,284.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on December 4, 2007, this Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement with the Service League of San Mateo County for the provision of alcohol and drug treatment services for the term January 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009, for a maximum obligation of $587,829; and

WHEREAS, on August 5, 2008, this Board of Supervisors approved a First Amendment to the Agreement to increase the maximum obligation by $68,167, including Bay Area Services Network (BASN) funding of $39,055, to a new maximum of $655,996 with no change to the Agreement term; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors a Second Amendment to the Agreement, whereby BASN funding is being reduced by $25,712 and the Agreement maximum obligation is reduced to $630,284; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Second Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into this Amended Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
