BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION (A) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH REGINA DEIHL FOR THE PROVISIONS OF FOSTER PARENT ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2012 IN THE AMOUNT OF $109,647, $76,752 NET COUNTY COST; AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, in January 2009, the Human Services Agency conducted a Request for Proposal (RFP) for foster parent advocacy services and an Agreement has been awarded to Regina Deihl for the provision of services in the amount of $109,647 for the term of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012; and

 

WHEREAS, the Contractor will provide support, resources, referrals, information on legal rights, court processes and advocacy to foster parents to ensure that any issues or concerns are resolved in a timely manner, and provide legislative updates, relevant information and related training to foster parents; and

 

WHEREAS, This Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director's designee is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
