BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION (1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH VERINON TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, LTD. FOR CONSULTING SERVICES, EXTENDING THE TERM END DATE TO JUNE 30, 2010, AND ADDING UP TO $170,000, FOR A NEW MAXIMUM TOTAL FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $255,000; AND (2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE) AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on January 20, 2009, the County Manager waived the Request for Proposal process and approved an Agreement in the amount of $85,000, for the term of February 2, 2009, to June 30, 2009, with Verinon Technology Solutions, Ltd. to provide the County with professional services relating to data warehousing and reporting;

WHEREAS, this Board, having considered the matter, has determined that it would be in the best interest of the County to approve an Amendment to the Agreement with Verinon Technology Solutions, Ltd to increase the contract amount by up to $170,000, for a new total fiscal obligation not to exceed $255,000, and to extend the term end date to June 30, 2010;

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested to grant signature authority to the Chief Information Officer or his designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate) and/or modify the Contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Amendment, has examined and approved it as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that signature authority is granted to the Chief Information Officer or his designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate) and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
