RESOLUTION: A) AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF THE FY 2009-10 JUVENILE JUSTICE CRIME PREVENTION ACT APPLICATION FOR CONTINUATION FUNDING AND/OR SUBSTANTIVE MODIFICATION TO COMPREHENSIVE MULTI-AGENCY JUVENILE JUSTICE PLAN (CMJJP) TO RECEIVE THE STATE JUVENILE JUSTICE CRIME PREVENTION ACT (JJCPA) FUNDING;AND B) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF PROBATION OFFICER TO ACCEPT AND SIGN THE APPROVED FY 2009-10 CMJJP

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
WHEREAS, the State of California has Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds are available for San Mateo County’s Modified FY 2009-10 Comprehensive Multi-agency Juvenile Justice Plan (CMJJP); and
|
|
WHEREAS, the County’s Modified FY 2009-10 CMJJP has been developed, reviewed and provided to the Corrections Standards Authority (CSA) in a format determined by the CSA and the Board of Supervisors and the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council have reviewed and approved the County’s Modified FY 2009-10 CMJJP; and

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo will adhere to the requirements of the JJCPA (Chapters 353 and 475 of the Government Code) regarding the submission of the Modified FY 2009-10 CMJJP and the submission of required CSA reports; and
|

|
WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of a Resolution and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Resolution.
|
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California does hereby:
A) Authorize the submission of the FY 2009-10 Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act Application for continuation funding and/or substantive modification to Comprehensive Multi-Agency Juvenile Justice Plan (CMJJP) to receive the State Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funding; and
B) Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to accept and sign the approved FY 2009-10 CMJJP.
