RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF

AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE HEALTH PLAN OF SAN MATEO FOR SERVICES OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Health Plan of San Mateo is a county organized health system, and provides local control over administration of Medi-Cal and other related health services for residents of the County of San Mateo; and

WHEREAS, the Health Plan of San Mateo’s contract with the State of California requires that the Health Plan have an Executive Director; and

WHEREAS, in 2006 the Health Plan and the County entered into an agreement for Maya Altman, a county employee, to serve as Executive Director of the Health Plan of San Mateo with the Health Plan fully reimbursing the County for her salary, benefits and related expenses, which is set to expire on June 30, 2009; and

WHEREAS, the Health Plan and the County have agreed to amend that agreement to extend its term; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the agreement with the Health Plan of San Mateo for the services of an Executive Director of the Health Plan of San Mateo for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
