SUBJECT:

First Amendment to Lease Agreement with San Bruno Office Associates, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company, for office space at 883 Sneath Lane, San Bruno (Lease No. 1290)

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a resolution authorizing the County Manager or his designee to execute a First Amendment to Lease Agreement with San Bruno Office Associates, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company for the purpose of correcting the monthly rent stated in the lease.

The Lease Agreement and the proposed First Amendment contribute to this goal by allowing the Agriculture Commissioner/ Sealer Program of the Community Health Department to operate more efficiently in providing services at the San Francisco International Airport terminals and throughout the County.

 

BACKGROUND:

On April 28, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved a new lease for space at 883 Sneath Lane at a monthly rate of $1.65 per square foot for 2,522 square feet of space. The payment of rent commenced June 4, 2009. The rent per foot and total square footage were accurately set forth in the lease; however, the final calculated rental rate was incorrectly stated in the basic lease terms as $4,036.00.

 

The First Amendment corrects the calculation error and sets $4,161.00 as the initial monthly rent.

 

DISCUSSION:

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the First Amendment as to form.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Annual rent of $49,932 has been budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2009/2010 recommended budget.
