RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER TO VIGNETTE CORPORATION TO PROVIDE BACK LICENSING, MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT OF PROPRIETARY SOFTWARE LICENSES FOR THE TERM OF APRIL 1, 2009, TO JUNE 30, 2009, WITH A FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $211,675.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, in January 2002, the Board of Supervisor’s approved an Agreement with Vignette Corporation for the purchase and implementation of a Countywide Content Management System (CMS);

WHEREAS, in July 2005, County Manager approved an Agreement with Vignette Corporation for the purchase of upgrade licenses;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a request to authorize the County Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order to Vignette Corporation in an amount of $211,675 to provide back licensing, maintenance and support of proprietary software licenses for the term of April 1, 2009, to June 30, 2009;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the County Purchasing Agent is authorized to issue purchase orders to Vignette Corporation in an amount of $211,675, the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Resolution as is approved by the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
