BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING: (A) AUTHORIZING THE FORMAL DISBANDING OF THE JUVENILE PROBATION AND CAMPS FUNDING (JPCF) PLANNING COUNCIL WHICH OVERSEES THE USE OF JUVENILE PROBATION AND CAMPS FUNDING; AND B) AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE COORDINATING COUNCIL (JJCC) THAT WOULD CONTINUE TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS OF WELFARE AND INSTITUTIONS CODE 749.22 AND WOULD MERGE THE JPCF PLANNING COUNCIL WITH THE CURRENT JUVENILE JUSTICE CRIME PREVENTION ACT (JJCPA) COUNCIL

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the State of California has Juvenile Probation and Camps Funding (JPCF) and Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds available; and

 

WHEREAS, the JJCPA funds require that the Board of Supervisors make assurances, which are true and correct for the County of San Mateo, that a Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council oversee the Juvenile Probation and Camps Funding (JPCF) and Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) funds use; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors is authorizing the formal dissolution of the Juvenile Probation Camps Funding (JPCF) Planning Council which oversees the use of Juvenile Probation and Camps Funding; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors authorizes the creation of the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) that fulfills Welfare and Institutions Code 749.22 requirements and represents a merger of the JPCF Planning Council with the current JJCPA Council; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Resolution and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Resolution.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Resolution for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
