RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION TO

THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE CARON PROGRAM

IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM THE KELLY FAMILY FUND.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Kelly Family Fund wishes to donate $5,000 to the County of San Mateo for use by the Sheriff’s Office Community Alliance to Revitalize Our Neighborhood (CARON) Program; and

WHEREAS, the CARON Program is a collaboration of schools, the faith community, youth groups and parents to develop, implement and coordinate programs that address the needs of youth; and

WHEREAS, said donation will be used to facilitate funding for CARON’s youth programs; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Sheriff to accept said donation for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE Board of Supervisors, on behalf of the County of San Mateo, hereby accepts the Kelly Family Fund’s donation of $5,000 to the Sheriff’s Office CARON Program, and offers its thanks to the Kelly Family Fund for the generous donation.
