ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT ONE TO AGREEMENT AP-0910-08 WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF AGING ELIMINATING STATE FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES PROGRAMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $261,989 AND INCREASING FEDERAL FUNDING FOR THE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,891, FOR A NET DECREASE OF $216,098. EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 30, 2009, THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION IS THUS DECREASED FROM $2,905,278 TO $2,689,180 WITH NO CHANGE TO THE TERM JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has designated itself as the Area Agency on Aging of San Mateo County to carry out programs pursuant to older adults; and
|
|
WHEREAS, on April 19, 2009, the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution 70110 authorized Agreement AP-0910-08 with the California Department of Aging (CDA) for Title III/VII and Community-Based Services Program funding for FY 2009-10 in the amount of $2,905,278; and
|
|
WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement by eliminating state funding and increasing federal funding for a net decrease of $216,098 changing the Agreement maximum obligation from $2,905,278 to $2,689,180 with no change to the term July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010; and
|
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has been presented with this Amendment and desires to enter into same.
|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement AP-0910-08 with CDA for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
