RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING | ||||

LING ZHI TANG Xiangfan City Secretary | ||||

WHEREAS, LING ZHI TANG, Xiangfan City Secretary, is leading a delegation from the People’s Government of Xiangfan to San Mateo County to promote cooperation and joint ventures with businesses in the Bay Area; and | ||||
WHEREAS, LING ZHI TANG holds a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Economics, has served as Vice Mayor and as the Mayor of Xiangfan City, and has been the Xiangfan City Secretary since March 2008. | ||||
WHEREAS, Xiangfan is a famous national-level historical and cultural city in China with a 2800 year history which is the home of many cultural sites, including Xiangyang City Moat, Ancient Longzhong and Lu-men Temple, and is the source for many natural resources, including water energy, agriculture and mineral deposits; | ||||
WHEREAS, Xiangfan has several mainstay industries, including textiles, electronics, automobiles and chemical fibre enterprises. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on October 12, 2009, hereby welcomes LING ZHI TANG, Xiangfan City Secretary, and the delegation from the People’s Government of Xiangfan in their mission to promote the culture and business of Xiangfan and create harmony and cooperation with businesses in San Mateo County and the entire Bay Area. | ||||
