RESOLUTION 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ANCHOR DRUGS TO PROVIDE PHARMACY SERVICES TO PATIENTS OF THE MIKE NEVIN HEALTH CENTER, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $128,000 FOR A MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $488,000, AND ALLOWING FOR ADDITIONAL DISPENSING FEES, FOR A TERM OF APRIL 1, 2007 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2010; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ANCHOR DRUGS TO PROVIDE PHARMACY SERVICES TO PATIENTS OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO HEALTH CENTER, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $75,000 FOR A MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $435,000, AND ALLOWING FOR ADDITIONAL DISPENSING FEES, FOR A TERM OF APRIL 1, 2007 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2010; AND 3) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ANCHOR DRUGS TO PROVIDE PHARMACY SERVICES TO PATIENTS OF THE FAIR OAKS FAMILY HEALTH CENTER, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $150,000 FOR A MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $510,000, AND ALLOWING FOR ADDITIONAL DISPENSING FEES FOR A TERM OF APRIL 1, 2007 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2010; AND 4) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH BANETH’S PHARMACY TO PROVIDE PHARMACY SERVICES TO PATIENTS OF THE WILLOW CLINIC, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $90,000 FOR A MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $450,000, ALLOWING FOR ADDITIONAL DISPENSING FEES AND EXTENDING THE TERM BY THREE MONTHS TO MARCH 31, 2010 FOR A TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2007 THROUGH MARCH 31, 2010.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on April 10, 2007, your Board approved agreements with Anchor Drugs and Baneth’s Pharmacy to provide pharmacy services to patients of the Mike Nevin Health Center (Nevin), the South San Francisco Health Center (SSF), the Fair Oaks Family Health Center (Fair Oaks) and the Willow Clinic (Willow); and

 

WHEREAS, on January 1, 2009, the Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM) became the third-party administrator (TPA) for the Access Care for Everyone (ACE) Program and has taken over the claims adjudication process which includes additional dispensing fees; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been an increase in volume at all of the clinics; and

 

WHEREAS, all parties now wish to amend the Agreements by increasing the Nevin Agreement by $128,000, for a new maximum fiscal obligation of $488,000, increasing the SSF Agreement by up to $75,000, for a new maximum fiscal obligation of $435,000, increasing the Fair Oaks Agreement by $150,000 for a new maximum fiscal obligation of $510,000, increasing the Willow Agreement by $90,000 for a new maximum fiscal obligation of $450,000, extending the term by three months to March 31, 2010 on the Willow Agreement, and allowing for additional dispensing fees on all four Agreements; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendments and said Board has examined and approved those Amendments as to both form and content and desires to enter into them.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the referenced Agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
