RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH VETERANS AFFAIRS, PALO ALTO HEALTH CARE SYSTEM DECREASING THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION BY $204,894, FROM $968,458 TO $763,564, AND REVISING THE TERM END DATE FROM FEBRUARY 28, 2011 TO DECEMBER 1, 2010

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 6, 2006, this Board approved an Agreement with Veterans Affairs, Palo Alto Heath Care System, for the provision of supported/transitional housing for the term March 1, 2006 through February 28, 2007, with options for each of four more years, for a maximum obligation of $968,458; and

WHEREAS, this Contractor has presented an Amendment to the Agreement whereby the original maximum obligation is decreased by $204,894, from $968,458 to a revised maximum of $763,564, and whereby the term end date is revised from February 28, 2011 to December 1, 2010; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Amendment to the Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
