RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING
|
|
STACEY DAGUE
|
2009 Women in County Government Community Service Recognition Award

|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, STACEY DAGUE is a Deputy Probation Officer III for the Juvenile Division of the Probation Department; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, STACEY DAGUE is on the Advisory Board of the Children’s Fund, and works with other agencies to obtain services and needed items for the youth and their families; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, colleagues call STACEY DAGUE for help and resources for youth and families in need; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, as co-coordinator for the probation site, STACEY DAGUE and Christina Johnsen have made their program self-sufficient and collected thousands of gifts for needy children and helped probation officers get the things their youth need and want throughout the year; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, grant funds obtained by STACEY DAGUE with the assistance of Al Teglia are used to assist probation officers in their work with youth for transportation, food, clothes for school, toiletries, suitcases, musical instruments and more which help youth meet their most basic needs and provide incentives to improve their performance at school, home and in the community; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, STACEY DAGUE makes herself available to the youth she has worked with long after they are done with probation and continues to see that they are going to school and gainfully working; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, these youth cite STACEY DAGUE’s dedication to the community as the catalyst that helped them change their way of thinking and behaving,
|
|
|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends STACEY DAGUE for contributing to the well-being of the community and extends congratulations for being named the recipient of the Women in County Government 2009 Community Service Award.
