RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING | ||||

LARRY FRANZELLA | ||||

WHEREAS, LARRY FRANZELLA was elected to his first term as Mayor of the City of San Bruno in the November 1999 general election, and has been re-elected as Mayor in all subsequent elections, with his current term expiring in November 2009, and previously served as a city council member for two terms and as San Bruno Vice Mayor for two years; and | ||||
WHEREAS, LARRY FRANZELLA has served on numerous city committees and boards, including the Project Pride Committee, the Utilities Committee, the Culture and Arts Commission, the Personnel Board and the Citizen’s Crime Prevention Committee; and | ||||
WHEREAS, LARRY FRANZELLA has worked with several regional agencies on behalf of the City of San Bruno, including the Airport Light Rail System (ALRS) Joint Oversight Committee, the City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG), the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust (HEART) of San Mateo County, the League of California Cities/Peninsula Division and the Peninsula Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance; and | ||||
WHEREAS, LARRY FRANZELLA has been an exemplary public servant in our community and has provided outstanding leadership to many community groups, including as President of the San Mateo County Association of Realtors and as Regional Vice-President of the California Association of Realtors. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on December 1, 2009, hereby commends and honors LARRY FRANZELLA for his outstanding leadership and for his 10 years of service as Mayor of the City of San Bruno. The Board extends its best wishes to him and his family on their future endeavors. | ||||
