RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

KELLY LAWRENCE

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, KELLY LAWRENCE, Assistant Tax Collector, after 41 years with the San Mateo County Office of the Treasurer, Tax Collector and Revenue Services will be retiring effective January 12, 2010; and

WHEREAS, KELLY LAWRENCE began her illustrious career in August 1968 as a Clerk I in the Tax Collector’s office, has held the titles of Account Clerk I, Fiscal Clerk II, Fiscal Clerk Specialist and in 1990 became a Revenue Collections Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, KELLY LAWRENCE has always been known as a dedicated and quality employee as well as possessing a vast amount of knowledge with respect to policies and procedures, and was officially promoted to the position of Assistant Tax Collector in August 2001; and

WHEREAS, KELLY LAWRENCE’s wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise, as well as her great stories, will be greatly missed.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on December 5, 2009, hereby congratulates KELLY LAWRENCE on her well deserved retirement after 41 years of dedicated service to the San Mateo County Office of the Treasurer, Tax Collector and Revenue Services, and extends it best wishes to her for a long and healthy retirement.
