RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING THE | |||||
NATIONAL CHINESE AMERICAN JEWELER’S ASSOCIATION | |||||

WHEREAS, formed in 1987 by twelve founding members, the National Chinese American Jeweler’s Association (NCAJA) is a non-profit organization established with the objective of providing assistance and services to mainly first generation naturalized Asian American jewelers in the United States; and | |||||
WHEREAS, the NCAJA has expanded its membership to over 130 members and its service has expanded to cover the interests of all American jewelers with its headquarters in New York City and Dallas; and | |||||
WHEREAS, the NCAJA has succeeded in sponsoring Jewelry Education Classes, publishing newsletters, lobbying for jewelry tariff reduction, participating in some of the most prestigious jewelry shows in the U.S., and giving back to the community by giving monetary contributions to areas internationally hit by natural disasters; and | |||||

WHEREAS, the NCAJA is hosting its Annual Gathering, “An Emperor’s Feast,” in Millbrae in celebration of and concurrent with the NCAJA annual event, the International Gem and Jewelry Show, at the San Mateo Expo Center; | |||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends the NATIONAL CHINESE AMERICAN JEWELER’S ASSOCIATION on the occasion of its Annual Gathering and the International Gem and Jewelry Show and on behalf of all our citizens express sincere appreciation to this organization for its numerous achievements and contributions. | |||||
