RESOLUTION SETTING SALARIES FOR ELECTED DEPARTMENT HEADS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2011

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance Code section 2.71.060 requires the Board to set the salaries for all elected department heads for each new four year term of office in advance of the candidate filing period for that office; and

 

WHEREAS, due to the current financial uncertainty facing the County of San Mateo, the County Manager recently advised the Board that no raises would be given to elected department heads for the calendar year commencing on January 1, 2010; and

 

WHEREAS, due to the likelihood that the current financial uncertainty facing the County of San Mateo will persist beyond calendar year 2010, the Board has concluded that no raises should be given to elected department heads for the calendar year commencing on January 1, 2011;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND DETERMINED that this Board of Supervisors, pursuant to Ordinance Code section 2.71.060, hereby sets the bi-weekly salaries of all elected department heads for the calendar year commencing January 1, 2011 as follows:
