RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE

For Nineteen Years of Service with the Burlingame Police Department

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE began her career with the California Highway Patrol as a Communications Operator in 1976 and served for seven years, joined the Burlingame Police Department in 1990 and has served with integrity, honor, and unwavering commitment for nineteen years; and

   

WHEREAS, DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE was responsible for answering incoming emergency calls from the general public for emergency services and dispatching assistance to help save lives and property; and

   

WHEREAS, DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE was a vital link to Burlingame Police Officers, monitoring their activities by radio, providing them information and insuring their safety, and has substantially contributed to the apprehension of criminals; and

   

WHEREAS, DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE has exhibited compassion, understanding and professionalism during the performance of her duties, and served as a Communications Training Officer providing trainees with the knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively perform their duties.

   

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on January 4, 2010, hereby commends DISPATCHER SHERIDA LEMBKE for her 19 years of service to the Burlingame Police Department, and extends its best wishes on her future endeavors with her loved ones in her retirement.
