BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PRE-HOSPITAL CARE MEDICAL GROUP JPA FOR THE PROVISION OF 911 COMMUNICATIONS SERVICES FOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS AND FIVE MONTHS THROUGH JUNE 30, 2013, WITH A SIX YEAR EXTENSION, FOR A TOTAL PAYMENT NOT TO EXCEED $1,624,516 FOR THE REMAINDER OF FY2009/10 AND INCLUDING FY2010/11.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance of this Agreement, whereby the County of San Mateo will continue to provide dispatch/communications services for the San Mateo County Pre-hospital Care Medical Group JPA (“the JPA”), reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement is three years and four months with a six year extension thereafter; and

WHEREAS, the JPA’s payment to the COUNTY is $1,624,516 during the remainder of this fiscal year (through June 30, 2010) and including FY 2010/11 (July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011); and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has been presented with the form of this Agreement and has examined and approved the Agreement as to form and content and desires to enter into same:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
