BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $200.000 WITH CREEGAN + D’ANGELO FOR ON-CALL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES EFFECTIVE JANUARY 26, 2010 TO JANUARY 25, 2013

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did, on April 28, 2009, adopt Resolution No. 070063, authorizing the President of the Board to execute agreements with consulting firms for On-Call Engineering Professional Services; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo is authorized to engage the services of professional technical experts; and

WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by selecting and utilizing consultants for various professional services; and

WHEREAS, the firm of Creegan + D’Angelo (Consultant) is a consultant firm qualified to perform engineering services on a variety of projects as may be assigned at a future time by Task Orders issued by the Director of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, Consultant was one of the thirty (30) firms who submitted a proposal in response to a request for proposals for on-call engineering professional services, but with whom an agreement was not previously executed in connection with Resolution No. 070063; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that an agreement be entered into with the Consultant to perform various professional services to supplement staff and specifically to assist with work associated with Flood Control and Drainage System Study and Design; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works and concurs with that recommendation.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

That the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement with Creegan + D’Angelo on behalf of County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
