RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the appointment of Edward Burns to the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee representing consumers to a term expiring on January 31, 2014.

BACKGROUND:
|
The In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee ensures the independence and dignity of the elderly and disabled consumer of care.
|
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
Edward Burns is recommended for appointment because of his experience, both professionally and personally, as a San Mateo County SEIU Steward in homecare and in caring for a family member for many years.
