RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA FOR AN INTEGRATED NURSE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000 FOR THE PERIOD OF APRIL 1, 2009 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2011

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the University of California (UC) received a grant from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation (Foundation) for the conducting of a Integrated Nurse Leadership Program; and

WHEREAS, the Foundation and UC determined a subcontractor should participate in the project and selected San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) as that subcontractor; and

WHEREAS, UC has provided SMMC with a grant in the amount of $60,000 to fund the Program for the period April 1, 2009 through April 30, 2011; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a grant award, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby UC will allocate funds in the amount of $60,000 for the provision of a program to develop a sepsis project; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the award and of the Agreement and desires to accept the award and enter into the Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to accept said award and execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
