Reappointment to the Board of Building Permit Appeals

RECOMMENDATION:

Reappoint Frank Tedesco to the Board of Building Permit Appeals to a term expiring December 31, 2012.

BACKGROUND:

The duties of the Board of Building Permit Appeals is to resolve disputes between the Chief Building Official and building permit applicants or holders concerning the proper interpretation of the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code, Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, Uniform Building Security Code, Uniform Dwelling Construction Code, Uniform Housing Code, Uniform Sign Code, Uniform Solar Energy Code, National Electrical Code, Uniform One and Two Family Dwelling Code, Uniform Swimming Pool-Spa and Hot-Tub Code, and any other building code adopted by San Mateo County Ordinance Code or enforced by the County of San Mateo. The Chief Building Official is duly authorized to record notice of violations of the foregoing codes with the San Mateo County Recorder.

DISCUSSION:

Frank Tedesco has served on the Board of Building Permit Appeals since March 27, 2001 representing the Skyline/South Coast and wishes to be reappointed to another term.
