BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION (A) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE A REVENUE AGREEMENT WITH SAN MATEO COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT (SMCCD) IN WHICH SAN MATEO COUNTY AGREES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BAY AREA CLEAN ENERGY CAREERS (BayCEC) GRANT, THE TERM IS JULY 1, 2009 TO FEBRUARY 14, 2012 FOR THE AMOUNT OF $240,000, THERE IS NO NET COUNTY COST, AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, SMCCD was awarded funding from the United States Department of Labor Community Based Training Grant for developing clean energy training programs; and

 

WHEREAS, San Mateo County was invited by SMCCD to participate in the BayCEC workforce development project to recruit and assess local residents for placement into BayCEC training programs; and

 

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency was awarded a revenue Agreement in the amount of $240,000 for the term of July 1, 2009 through February 14, 2012; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Revenue Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

B. The Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director’s designee is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
