RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING

SARAH DUCKER

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, Sarah Ducker from Sequoia High School has been selected as the Student recipient of a 2010 Sequoia Award for her many contributions to our community; and

WHEREAS, Sarah has spent hundreds of hours volunteering her Temple, and has also volunteered extensively at Key Club, Project Read, Girl Scouts, and at numerous other organizations in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, in addition to her many volunteer activities such as working tirelessly to help feed the hungry, Sarah has excelled academically and is an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate taking rigorous college-level courses; and

WHEREAS, through her extensive volunteering she has proven herself to be a caring, civic-minded, leader within our community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby congratulate Sarah Ducker on her receipt of a Sequoia Award.
