RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING

Recology San Mateo County

WHEREAS, Recology San Mateo County has been selected as the Business recipient of a 2010 Sequoia Award for its many contributions to our community; and

WHEREAS, Recology San Mateo County has made many outstanding contributions to multiple local programs and organizations in Redwood City; and

WHEREAS, through both financial donations and volunteer efforts, Recology San Mateo County has been integral in assisting groups such as the Police Activities League, Rebuilding Together, Early Bird Preschool, Coastal Clean Up and the Boys & Girls Club among many others; and

WHEREAS, in addition to the contributions made by Recology San Mateo County, the employees of Recology are a strong presence in the community through the Recology Volunteer Program; and

WHEREAS, Recology San Mateo County’s community based efforts have improved the lives of many in San Mateo County and have made the region a better place to live for all residents of the County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby congratulate Recology San Mateo County, on the receipt of a Sequoia Award, and thank them for all their service to our community.
