BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GRANT REQUIREMENTS FROM THE CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY, APPROPRIATING $862,872 IN FEDERAL FUNDS FOR THE RECOVERY ACT JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT, FOR THE TERM OF OCTOBER 1, 2009 TO MARCH 31, 2011; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF THE HEALTH SYSTEM OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS TO THE SAN MATEO RECOVERY ACT JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT THROUGH MARCH 31, 2011.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a Certification of Assurance of Compliance-Cal EMA 2-104j, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the County shall accept responsibility for complying with the requirement of the CalEMA program; and

WHEREAS, it is expedient and efficient for the Chief of the Health System or designee to sign future amendments; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with form of this Certification and has examined and approved it as to both, form and content, and desires to approve this Certification.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Certification for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of the Health System or designee is authorized to execute contract amendments to the San Mateo Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant through March 31, 2011.
