BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE HAZARDOUS MATERIAL ABATEMENT PROJECT AT HILLCREST JUVENILE FACILITY.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors did, on December 1, 2009, adopt Resolution No. 070545, which resolution adopted the plans and specifications (the “Plans and Specifications”), including conformance with prevailing wage scale requirements, and called for sealed bids for the Hazardous Material Abatement at Hillcrest Juvenile Facility; and

 

WHEREAS, the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors did, in public on January 5, 2010 at 2:30 p.m., open and examine all sealed bids that were received in the specified time for the doing of the work referred to in said Resolution No. 070545; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has caused an analysis of said bids to be made by the Director of Public Works of the County of San Mateo, and has, in open session, fully reviewed and considered said sealed bids and the analysis thereof; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has concluded that it would be in the best interest of the County to revise the plans and specifications and amend the scope of work to encompass the abatement, deconstruction, and demolition phases of the Hillcrest Juvenile Facility in order to achieve cost savings and better coordination between project phases.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

It is in the best interest of the County of San Mateo to reject all bids received for the Hazardous Material Abatement at Hillcrest Juvenile Facility, and all bids received for said work on January 5, 2010 are hereby rejected.
