RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH KEVIN W. HARPER CPA & ASSOCIATES TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND ACCOUNTING MANAGER AT SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER EXPANDING THE SCOPE OF WORK; AND INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $97,339 FOR A MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION OF $347,019, WITH NO CHANGE OF TERM.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) have been recently filled; and

WHEREAS, Kevin W. Harper CPA & Associates (Kevin Harper) is knowledgeable and experienced with SMMC financials and is therefore uniquely qualified to provide assistance to the SMMC Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager while they transition into their positions; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance to an Amendment to the Agreement with Kevin Harper, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, expanding the scope of work and increasing the maximum amount payable thereunder by $97,339 for a maximum fiscal obligation of $347,019, with no change of term; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered this Amendment to the Agreement, and has approved it as to both form and content, and desires to enter into it.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
