RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a Resolution authorizing:
|

A.
|
The President of the Board to execute a Revenue Agreement with the California Department of Rehabilitation for training and employment services. The term is July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013, for the amount of $855,414. There is no Net County Cost; and
|
|
|
|
B.
|
The Director of the Human Services Agency (HSA) or the Director’s designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
|
|
|
BACKGROUND:
|
Since 1994 the Human Services Agency and the Department of Rehabilitation have worked together to provide employment and training services to the disabled population. San Mateo County residents who have significant physical or psychiatric disabilities and who are not receiving services through San Mateo County Mental Health are served under this Agreement.
|
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
This Agreement with the Department of Rehabilitation appropriates funds from the State to the County for FY 2010 through FY 2013 so that services to San Mateo County residents with physical and psychiatric disabilities can continue under the HSA Coop Program.
|
|
|
County Counsel has reviewed the Agreement and Resolution as to form and the Department of Rehabilitation has been provided with the County’s certificate of insurance. The County is the Contractor in this Agreement.
|
|
|
Approval of this Agreement contributes to the Shared Vision 2025 outcome of a Prosperous Community by providing employment training and career growth for consumers with disabilities in San Mateo County.

FISCAL IMPACT:
|
The term of the Agreement is July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. The total amount of $855,414 will be allocated equally in the amount of $285,138 for each of the three years. Revenue will be included in the FY 2010-13 through FY 2012-13 Recommended Budgets. There is no Net County Cost.
