Revenue Agreement with Telecare Transitions

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a Resolution Authorizing:

 

A.

The President of the Board to execute a Revenue Agreement with Telecare Transitions in which the County’s Catering Connection will cater evening meals for the term of March 1, 2010 to February 28, 2013, in the amount of up to $300,000, there is no Net County Cost and;

 

B.

The Director of the Human Services Agency (HSA) or the Director’s designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.

 

BACKGROUND:

Since 2004, Telecare Transitions has partnered with Catering Connection for the evening meal service at their Veteran’s Affairs (VA) location in Menlo Park.

 

DISCUSSION:

Catering Connection will prepare and deliver dinner meals five days a week for the residents of Telecare Transitions. The processing of this Agreement was delayed due to negotiations.

 

County Counsel has reviewed and approved this Agreement and Resolution as to form. County Counsel has removed portions of the County ordinance language from the Agreement since the County is the Contractor for this Agreement including non-discrimination, jury service ordinance and equal benefits.

 
 

Approval of this Agreement contributes to Shared Vision 2025 outcome of a Prosperous Community by providing healthy meals to veterans.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The term of this Agreement is March 1, 2010 through February 28, 2013. This is a revenue generating Agreement in which Telecare Transitions will pay the County for each meal prepared. The maximum payment to the County may not exceed $300,000 unless agreed upon by all parties in the form of an Amendment to this Agreement. There is no Net County Cost.
