RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT REGARDING TRANSFER OF PULIC FUNDS BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES UP TO A TOTAL MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $8,514,217 FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2010.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM) and the County seek to enter into an Agreement whereby HPSM will reimburse the County for supplemental funding for long term care services to Medi-Cal residents; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into the Agreement, whereby County shall transfer funds to California Department of Health Care services up to a total maximum total amount of $8,514,217 for the period of July 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010;and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into it.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
